Range

Southern and eastern China and Taiwan; frogs from Taiwan might represent a separate species from mainland populations.

Habitat

Moist lowland and montane forests, wetlands, rivers, ponds, canals, ditches and other freshwater-modified habitats.

Facts

• The species was described from three specimens collected at Guadun village in Wuyishan, Fujian, China. Its specific name honours John D. La Touche, the collector of the type series.
